Comments Seeing the coral growing on the wrecks is amazing and worth the trip but the viz is not good, lots of sediment in the water and surprisingly few fish. Water is warm 84-86 and I wore only a Dive skin. Most of the dives were deep and about at the nitrox limit. Other groups were doing decompression dives but not our group. Dive masters all carried an extra tank just in case, and there were safety lines on each small dive boat for stops.
Resort is clean, staff friendly and food good.
The island of Chuuk is the poorest I have ever seen. Few houses seemed more than shacks None of our group left the resort. Weather very hot and humid.
