Comments We have been diving with Splash since '91. We have stayed at the Palau Pacific Resort every visit. Lucy and her staff at PPR are incredible. We have had the same room each visit. They call it "our" room. EVERY guest is treated equally, with attention and care. The food is beautifully presented even to the hand carved fruits. Splash is the most professional operation I've encountered. The divers are strong and aware. They are Palauan and Japanese and adept to the challenges that come with the ever changing conditions in Palau. Steven has been our guide for many years. As I do macro, he'll find the 1/4" nudibranch or humor me by taking me to the home of the Helfrich Dartfish at 112' so I can finally acquire the "perfect" photo. Our dives are usually 1 hour and 20 minutes. There is NEVER a complaint about bottom time. We were at Pelelieu and entered with wonderful surface conditions. The current was very strong and exciting. We watched the large bull shark 100' below during the dive. As we finished our safety stop and surfaced, my camera and fins were off and I was in the boat before I'd realized what had happened. The conditions had changed and a storm had come up. With the surge, there was urgency to move the boat and leave. Steven, Sherlock and Sixtus all knew what was happening by watching the surface during the dive. I am 62 and a female. Their attentiveness and action prevented fear and chaos on the surface. One dive we encountered Mantas feeding. 7 frolicked while we dove in their midst. In our ten trips we've never seen more than 6 people to a guide. I always think nothing new can happen. Maybe next year it will be a whale shark!

UW Photo Comments There was fresh water to soak our cameras on the boat. There is also a rinse tank at Splash. Any special needs would be accommodated by simply asking. I've never been anywhere where the peole are so willing and eager to please. I dive with a Nikon D70S and a 60mm macro lens and my husband with a Nikon 300S and a 12-24mm wide angle lens. We are quite serious about our photos.
