Comments Spent a week at the Manta Ray Resort in Yap. Charming ~20 room hotel w/a 100+ year old fishing boat permanently moored in front which serves as the bar/restaurant for the resort. Dive shop & pier onsite. Very good food & microbrew beer onsite as well. Did 2/3 dives a day. Saw ~8-10 individual mantas ranging in size from 9'-13' whenever we dove "cleaning station" sites. Also saw reef sharks on virtually every dive. Got hit w/the tailings of typhoon Hagupit while we were there, but the staff was great in keeping everyone calm & well fed--just missed one day of diving for the clean-up. Vis was stirred up just a bit for a day or two, but overall a great experience diving the Micronesian waters. Owner Bill Ackman adds his warm, Texan hospitality to the place too. Great trip!
