Comments Started with three days of land based diving, then a week of live aboard. Both are great, but liveaboard gives you twice as many dives. July is rainy season and we had cloudy skies and choppy seas. But, we also had small groups, lots of room on the boats and more privacy on the reefs. The hotels are not full and there was no waiting in stores and restaurants. I like the off season. Note that the choppy seas are outside of the fringe reef and most of the ride to the sites is inside the reef where the seas were calm. When you are close to the site, you slip thru the reef into the chop and then drop into the water. Once under, the choppy surface is irrelevant. The live aboards all stay inside the reef, so there was no discomfort. The wildlife is tremendous - the best I have ever seen. The water Bourne nutrients that support the fish and coral limits the viz to maybe 40 or 50 feet - sometimes better. Big fish everywhere. Tremendous coral. Claims the size of a sofa chair. Anemone the size of a throw rug. The diversity of fish is 10 x that of the Carib.
