Aqualung has recalled 330 Exotec back-flotation BCDs due to a faulty dump valve that may stick open while the Exotec is being inflated, causing a catastrophic loss of buoyancy.
The Apeks brand and Exotec model names are embroidered on the BCD's back panel and side pockets, and the metal components are gray or orange. The model number is printed on the label tucked behind the bladder between the tank attachment belt and the lower dump valve. Only model numbers BT1380108ML, BT1380108XLXXL, BT1380110ML, and BT1380110XLXXL are included in the recall.
If you have a recalled BCD, don't use it and return it to your seller for a free repair. https://tinyurl.com/2dbv7tb3
