Dear Undercurrent, I agree with the letter "What's the Significance of "Advanced" in PADI AOW Certification? from Greg White (Undercurrent July). I have 667 dives, but nothing irks me more than to have a diver say something like, "Hey, just got my advanced certification. I'm on my 15th dive." I get the financial pressure to sell lessons, but there should be some standard to qualify for "Advanced" other than taking lessons and a few extra dives.
