Comments Although we were on a cruise, we booked this operation independently before we left. Our main concern was dive times, and we were reassured they would be at least an hour. We walked a short walk from the dock to their shop. We rented most of our equipment, taking only computers, wetsuits, beanie, and masks. The staff was friendly, and got our equip.sized up. On the boat were 4 locals who had gone out with them the previous day. There was little area to sit, even with so few people on the boat. We had requested Butler Bay, a site that had some shallow wrecks. We got there and it was decided there was too much current on the surface. Before we left, the dive operation that our cruise ship used arrived on site, and the divers entered the water. We then went to a site named Sugar Mill, where it was determined that there was a lot of current and we'd do it as a drift dive. The dive site was unremarkable, like patch reefs in the Keys, but with not a lot of life and little current- not a drift dive. I later asked Kay, the dive master where were all the angels (there was one hiding in the coral), and parrots, and was told the locals eat them. At 37 minutes, Kay motioned to go up,one of the divers was low on air (you could tell by their style that they were inexperienced or not very good divers.) I showed her my computer registering 37 minutes, and she wrote on her slate " I like to dive too", as if it was about her. There was no reason for us to go up with the one diver as it truely wasn't a drift dive, and had it been, we could have taken the ball. We discussed our prior arrangements on the surface and Kay said the next dive would be longer. The other divers raved about the dive. The second dive was Little Mill, or Cables, with cables from WWII.It wasn't much better than the first, with exception to a free swimming Moray named Bob.The other divers went up early; this time we were allowed to stay down and the dive was over an hour. This dive op. knew the people they were taking out had trouble managing their air, and should have made arrangements for this. I wouldn't go out with them again.
