Comments First time on the boat, and I wish I was going back nextweek.

Just came back on Sunday from a 4 day trip with Rick andthe crew. Simply put, the trip is for individuals that just love to dive andhave some solid experience. Not the 2 dives a year resort diver. It is for theperson that wants to be on the ocean and dive , dive , dive and not have theirhand held. Don’t get me wrong Rick runs a tight ship, and what the boatlacks in amenities (sorry no hot tub) it more that makes up for in the attitudeof the crew and concern they have for your wellbeing. Example, Rich is on thedive platform many times checking on your computer to see if you get into adeco dive. If so then you are done diving for the day and possibly the trip (Ilike that). Also you better log in and out or you may be out of a dive or two.Remember it’s a big ocean and the safety sausage may look big on the boatwith seas and with a little distance is can get small fast.

The big positives: the dives are outlined by Rickand if you follow his directions you will have a great dive. Go your own wayand you will see allot of sand. When it’s dive time get in and get to thebottom and you will be on the best part of the reef.

Tanks are refilled quickly, you have the same tank (steel LP92’s) and spot for all dives and you keep your setup in the same place. Each side has the same crew member for the trip and you get to know them andthey you and your habits.

After every dive there is something different to snack on.Marcy is great at feeding the hungry divers good food, hot and filling withtaste and flavor. The lasagna was my favorite of the trip. When it’sfeeding time eat because with 5 dives a day you get hungry and a 2nd trip helpswith the energy level. She never ran out and that was impressive with theappetites of some on the trip.

Other comments: The bunks are hard , if you don’tbring a pad under your sleeping bag. A night light in each bunk would have been nice, somehave one, mine didn’t. A place to put your soap and shampoo in the showerwould have also been a plus, however the water was always hot and did not runout.

Summary: Three of us went on the trip and had anwonderful time diving and meeting the crew and other divers. The communitydining area and the back deck it makes it conducive to meeting others. If you want privacy just pull down your curtain on your bunk and stay below. Not only was it a safe dive boat it has a crew and captain that love what they are doing. You can tell from their attitude when you first board that they like what they do and get joy from you enjoying all the ocean has to offer. A happy diver.
