Comments Parrot Island Scuba Adventures (www.parrotislandscuba.com) is a great dive charter. Reasonably priced, safety conscious, and accommodating. Captain Jerry Turmaine, along with a different DM each day and a few regular local customers, was always eager to go diving each day. We logged eight dives in four days. The boat, Fathoms of Fun, is in great condition, it has plenty of room, and a nice dive platform. Freshwater shower, a head, a camera table, and cold sodas & water. Fathoms of Fun is located at the marina next to the Hillsboro Inlet draw bridge in Pompano Beach.

Even with chop and cool temperatures, the dive sites were wonderful. We were at a different wreck and different reef each day. Reef dives are drift dives and each buddy team is required to tow a dive flag marker (local law).

We saw morays, snooks, stingrays, puffers, trunkfish, parrotfish, spadefish, butterfly fish, damselfish, and more. Hurricane Wilma had torn up the beaches and buildings, but the marine life was unscathed. We will dive there again and with Parrot Island.
