Comments Atlantic current diving is not for the inexperienced and unprepared. And it is certainly less predictable than a typical resort dive trip. That said, this operation provided little or no dive site information at the beginning of the dive even though they had a diver in the water setting the anchor on the wreck. They provided little site infotrmation as to where the anchor was on the wreck and no information on current conditions such as; current strength or visibility.

The Rosin Wreck was touted on their WEB site as not to be missed. Upon descent we found the wreck in the following conditions. The current was 1 1/2 to 3 knots and the visibility was only 3 feet. About 1/2 of the divers, 20 started the dive, were swept away from the wreck due to the current. No provision for a line attached to the wreck for touring purposes was provided or to retain contact back to the anchor line. Cave reels were discouraged. The operator had no provision to pick up divers swept away from the dive boat, even though this dive site is reported to be 40 miles off the coast.
Luckily everyone made it back to the boat due to less surface current than encountered at the bottom. All divers seemed to have sufficient experience. Most but not all had safety sausages and surface sound warning equipment.

Over three days of diving only one site, on 2 wrecks was suitable diving with easier current and decent visibility.

UW Photo Comments While boats were large and provided enough room, even though it was full, the camera table was miniscule and no rinse tanks were available. The crew offered no solution for storing extra cameras, other on your lap for 2 hours out and 2 back.
