Comments Q:"Please tell us the good, the bad, and what you wish you had known before you left home.."
A:It was "all good", there was no "bad" and if I had known how diver focused this operation was, I would have made every effort to convince my wife to stay there so I wouldn't have had to deal with commuting my gear around Key Largo!!! Being able to literally step out of your room and onto the boat with all of your stuff ready was very appealing to say the least!!! The personal attention you receive from every member of the Staff and Crew was refreshing because it was really genuine and sincere. I'll put it to everyone who asks this way, it is not a matter of IF I will go back to Amoray Diver Resort but WHEN!!!
Now for the diving itself... Amoray operates in the John Pennecamp Marine Sanctuary. My first dives on 04/10/06 were on Elbow Reef at the Sand Chutes and the City of Washington wreck. The corals and sea fans were plentiful and healthy, the tropicals and blennies were plentiful: butterflys, tangs, angels, jacks, grunts, parrotfish, trunkfish, sgt.majors,etc. On 04/11/06, we went out to French Reef to dive the Hour Glass Reef and the Sand Box Caves. They were covered up with UWP opportunities just like the Elbow Reefs. Both days,I had the pleasure of diving with Patrick McCoy as the DM/Instructor. He was able to handle a newly certified diver and her older family member without cramping my dive plan at all. Go get wet and blow some bubbles with these folks, you won't regret it!! As soon as I can swing it, I'm going back to do the Speigel Grove with them...

UW Photo Comments Amoray Dive was "ready to go" for UWPs. Unfortunatley, I was diving without my normal UWP gear. The max. number of divers per trip was 6 with 3+ crew members. So without hesitation, I give them two "thumbs up" for being ready to handle this aspect of diving without reservation.
