Comments We thoroughly enjoyed both the diving and the crew on the Turks and Caicos Aggressor II.

We really enjoyed the diving. Lots of tropical fish on every dive, and the coral was in really great shape. Most dives start out on a wall and then end up at 20 – 60 feet in the coral reef/sand. Lots of the usual subjects on every dive – parrotfish, damselfish, surgeonfish, chromis, jacks, wrasses, blennies, snappers, moray eels. Also had several reef and nurse shark encounters, and the sharks get very close (in a good way). Sightings of groupers, jawfish, turtles, stingrays, octopus, shrimp/lobsters, flying gurnards, and my first batfish. Not too much in the way of nudis or slugs if that’s your thing. It was like diving in a beautiful aquarium.

The boat is very clean and well kept by the staff. The bedrooms are adequate albeit small with limited storage (not unlike many dive boats). The A/C was robust, which led to us spending most non-diving time on the top outer deck where it was nice and warm. They sold a lot of fleece hoodies on shopping day. The hot tub on the top deck was a popular spot between dives as you tend to get chilled from 5 dives per day. The food was very plentiful and tasty (especially the roast pork!). One friend particularly liked all the home-made ice cream.

The crew were wonderful (Captain Amanda, Second Captain Lowell, Engineer Rob, Carlos, Alizee, and Chef Ailsa). Not only were they were attentive and professional, but also very personable and felt like good friends. They definitely have found a great balance. Can’t say enough good things about them. When in the water, the dive leaders knew the area well and could point out the unique things to find at each sight. The camera/video pros took some beautiful photos/footage – I was very impressed with the skill level they had. The chef knew her way around a kitchen and was very attentive to dietary preference/allergies.

Entry is giant stride off the back of the mother ship. Dive deck seemed fairly roomy, even with a full house of divers.

We would not hesitate diving this charter again. Great way to spend Christmas vacation.

UW Photo Comments There was ample room for all the cameras, and there were quite a few that week. Separate dry room for charging batteries. You could rent camera/video equipment if interested.
