Comments This was a great trip - once we got there.  Getting the required TCI Assured approval was crazy.  They did not accept the insurance that was included with our deal from the travel agent.  We had to buy some insurance that specified COVID coverage.  TCI Assured recommended several companies.  We recommend to just get the insurance they say you need to use.

The resort was great!  There was a small washer and dryer in the room which was wonderful to have.  The room was really nice - lots of room.  The bed was really comfortable.  We were on the 3rd floor and had a beautiful view.  The food was fantastic.  We gained weight!

This was their first week of diving under Reef Divers and the first real recreational diving on South Caicos in years. The Valet Diving they provided was great as usual.  They were still setting up dive sites.  They were still installing mooring pins and lines.  By the end of the week they were all set.  We loved the diving! They had beautiful walls, and some really pretty shallow dives.  One day they took us over to Grand Turks to dive there.  We saw reef sharks, nurse sharks, eagle rays, the biggest stingrays we have ever seen, turtles, squid and all the usual fish.

The reefs looked really good. You could easily tell that they have not been damaged by a lot of divers. There was some surge on most dive sites. The wall is accessible from many of the dive sites with the lip being around 60 to 80 feet.

The dock is not at the resort but they have shuttles that take you to the dock - only about a five minute drive. It turned out to not be a big deal at all.

The only downside was that there was a lot of sargassum seaweed coming in.  They had a crew that was removing it from the shore everyday.  It did make a couple of the dive sites a bit cloudy.  But that is happening all over. They said it should be clearing out within the month.

We will be going back.

UW Photo Comments The boats have a dry table but that was about all that we needed as we were diving with Paralenz's. One of the other divers had a special camera and the crew went out of the way to rinse it and help her with it in the water. There was lots to photograph. Flamingo Tongues to Large Spotted Eagle Rays to huge Southern Stingrays were seen on almost every dive. The coral looked essentially untouched. Saw a huge Elkhorn Coral.
