Comments Our dive shop, Wateree Dive Center in Columbia, SC, enjoyed a great week at Bohio Resort, diving with Oasis Divers. Bohio's skiffs could not accommodate our group, so Oasis had a really nice diving pontoon, that was stable, with good speed. Our dive masters, Mackin, Jason, & Justin were superb. They pointed out little critters while watching out for turtles, rays, etc. They were as good & professional as we have had in 25 years of diving. We would come in between 1st & 2nd dives, order lunch from restaurant & then dive again. The food was very good with good hotel service & nice, clean rooms certainly adequate for divers. We went to Jack's Shack, a local bar/beach grill one evening & will definitely return more than one night. The conch fritters, fish, etc were great.
The diving was really good, with biz on the wall of 100 ft. Plus with 60-80 on the reefs. There was less bleaching of coral than other places we've gone, There were many juveniles seen on all the dives, with only one lion fish seen all week. We saw 8-10 turtles, numerous rays, but only 2 small nurse sharks.
All in all, this was a fun trip with really good diving with a superb dive operation.
The only negative part of traveling was the checkin process with American Airlines in Provo on the return flight. Horrible, without any common sense & poor staff personal interactions with travelers.
