Comments this was a return trip to the Turks and caicos for my wife and I. Last trip was in 2014 , also aboard the Exp II. Getting your travel visa from the TCI government was a challenge. Many in the group including myself didnt get our visa's till very late friday night with travel on saturday.
This Island was hit very hard by the hurricane a few years ago and the reefs show the effects. also the reef fish life was not what we remembered. the only large animals where the reef sharks that made an appearance on nearly every dive, as well as nurse sharks on 1 night dive. the crew was very good though one dive master was new to the boat and the island. the other Joe(Bungee) we dove with her 7 years ago is knowledgable and and full of energy and information on every sight and is entertaining with all her costumes. she has certainly made this a career and still the love of the ocean and her guests comes bubbling out on every dive.
The boat is well set up as a liveaboard, though it dances on the mooring. the week we where their we had persistant winds and the boat moved more than usual, and they had one dive master in the water at a time. on our boat was a group from Baltimore (16) and they all dived together, them plus the other 4 on board made for to many on the same part of the reef at a time.
With the winds and the boat movement i was very disappointed that they didnt put another divemaster in the water to split the groups. and of course we had divers with their camera rigs that often hogged the critters. With the boat swinging as it did few felt comfortable to dive with out a divemaster leading the group though many of us had several hundred dives under our belt.
the food especially lunch and dinner where very good and varied, from fish, Ny stips, baby back ribs off the barby, and roast beef. Our only complaint was breakfast was just eggs and meat, and Stans soups where heavy on the pepper.

Stan is still there? I did two trips (2011 and 2013), the last with only two other passengers. Stan fed us brocolli EVERY day, for lunch of dinner. At dinner, he put the food on our plates, as if there wouldn't be enough meat left. Enjoyed safety stops at the end of the tie, just holding on to the bottom of the hang line and let the boat carry back and forth along the reef. Sorry to hear about the reef damage.

I meant hold on the end of the hang line!
