Comments Ports of Call is a good hotel for divers. Not luxurious, but a nice pool and right next to Dive Provo with continental breakfast. A 10 minute walk to the beach. Dive Provo is a well-organized, professional and friendly operation. Good rental gear. They have boats on both the North side (Grace Bay) and on the South side. The South side has more challenging and interesting diving (all walls), but it is a long, rough boat ride. The Grace Bay side is a very short trip, and calmer, but not as challenging. The dive shop dictates the locations, so I ended up on the same site at Grace Bay twice. Lots of sizeable grouper, puffers, some reef sharks (not very close), schools of jacks, but surprisingly few reef fish. Perhaps that is due to lionfish; there is no longer an active program to spear them due to sharks. Many beautiful sponges on the walls of all sizes. One cool swim-through. A good spot for a quick trip due to direct JetBlue flights.
