Comments [Provo- This hot travel destination-is cooling off a bit which can be a good thing-it may stop the hotel overbuilding...
My wife and I stayed at the Royal West Indies Resort which was one of the nicest and plushist places we have ever stayed. We easily walked the beach at night after dinner - to restaurants like,Bella Luna, the return trip to Hemingways and the casino is close by for some blackjack. We chose a garden view room which had a great view of the pool and even granite counter tops in our kitchenette ! The house Restaurant "Mango Reef" we ate at at least 3 times and were very surprised at the fantastic seafood dishes- some with curry- which is common here.We saved money by eating in a few times.
Our favorite restaurant was the Bella Luna, with fantastic seafood risotto -some of the best I have ever had- Generally, we were dissapointed with the food and exorbident prices, up to $230.00 for 2 ! Don't miss Da Conch Shack for Conch salad and rum !]

UW Photo Comments [The boat Caicos adventures uses is quite spacious - a double hulled catamaran which is quite stable-for those long 40 minute trips. The rince bucket was a little small with 3 or 4 cameras in it at a time- it needs to be slightly larger ! We saw a reef shark on every other dive, and many spotted eagle rays-a turtle or 2 what more could you ask for. The sponges are huge and healthy and was quite satisified with the walls around West Caicos ]
