Comments Spencer may have a small operation - but he is attentive to the smallest details! He prides himself on a beautifully clean boat, punctuality, and service to his divers. What a treat to dive with someone local who wants to take care of the reefs and pass his love onto local young people!

Because Spencer is a small operation - you will want to make arrangements in advance to make sure he has room to take you out.

We dove with Spencer for five days in July. He meets you at the dock - helps you aboard and shares the plan for the day. He is extremely knowledgeable about Speyside, the dive sites, and reading the ocean. He chooses the sites according to diver abilities - beginner or experienced. Between dives he drops the divers off with a snack and cold drink while he and the captain change out tanks.

Upon returning to the dock after the second dive, he helps you off the boat, and if using your own equipment sees that you get everything rinsed and on your way.

The diving is amazing! When you get in the water it is like the reef goes on forever, everywhere you look there is something to grab your attention. The diversity of life is superb. (As someone who does REEF surveys, 50-60 species on each dive.)

One thing to know before you go - take cash! There are only two ATMs on that end of the island, and they seldom have cash. Spencer does not take credit cards. So, get cash in Scarborough before heading that way!
