Comments	An administrative mix-up began our stay with Blue Waters such that our reservation wasn't "in the system" but was eventually fixed after presentation of a confirmation number and proof of down payment but resulted in not getting a queen-sized bed, as requested. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the stay as the views of Batteaux Bay are spectacular and the restaurant food is excellent. As I am also a birdwatcher, there was the added bonus of large wooded grounds to explore and hummingbird feeders to watch and take photos. All equipment is included in the dive price, great when my fin strap broke. And, Tian/Kiki fixed by non-working BC inflator valve. The not-so-good is that restaurant service is VERY slow - upwards of an hour for all meals. There is no freshwater to drink on the boat; however, dive sites are less than 5 minutes from the dock. Divemasters are helpful in setting up your gear, if you ask. You are responsible for cleaning/hanging up your own stuff. Due to rain/effluent from the Orinoco River, visibility was not great. One dive was pitch black until about 20 feet from the bottom. Strong halocline and thermocline due to rain. I was told it cleared up the week after we left. Lots of usual fishes, several nurse sharks (up to 6 feet), one barracuda, rays and some critters; corals are in excellent shape. The largest brain coral in the Atlantic is off Little Tobago - approximately 15' in diameter. Definite lack of larger fish due to subsistence fishing. There is talk of a marine park amongst the dive shops but strongly fought by fishing/oil & gas interests.
