Comments One of, possibly even, "The Best" live aboard crew I've ever had. Capt.: Tui, Cruise Dir: Gabriel, Asst Cruise Dir: Clive, Engineer: Bao
Second Capt: Rong, Deck hand: Ken Chef: Phorn + 2nd Chef: Phorn
Divemaster: Yusuf, Steward: Anny. - all great! My wife thought so and she runs a hotel. Staff all lively, hard working, and charming. Food was great, with option for spicy Southern Thai food with the crew if desired. Dinghy stayed close for easy pick up. Dive briefings very thorough and accurate [I'm an ex-Divemaster]. Good reefs, caves/rock formations, tropical fish and small stuff. Was the wrong season for Mantas & Whale Sharks, so didn't expect any. Trip was discounted for off-season. Dolphins when motoring, just not on dives. Easy intermediate drift diving with some current, occasional but not severe surge. Only one low visibility high current dive on the wreck. Good night dives. One young beginning diver in good shape with <20 dives experience did fine paired with an Advanced Open Water Diver with >100 dives experience. I wouldn't recommend this trip for pair of beginners. Minimal ocean trash for Asia, way less than Phuket. Moved around to a lot of sites, so never got bored. See Capt.'s Log: [aggressor.com link] They don't run this itinerary any more. Light surf suits or full Polypropylene fleece skin suits necessary for most. Crew wearing shorties. BUT one young extremely fit diver wore only surf trunks the whole time, except on night dives, surprising even the crew, so it wasn't that cold despite being the winter season. Boat could use some refurbishing, but had recently had some work done. Not too worn, just not top shape. Had the Master Stateroom #1, bow cabin below decks with largest room. Deck level cabins smaller but nicer. Would go with them again on either of the other itineraries offered.
