Comments Undercurrents policy is if you work for the shop, you can't do an evaluation. I have been diving here since 2003. My only affiliation with the shop is I practically live there but I don't work for them. The government would frown on that. I continue to stay here because after all these years and over 2000 dives, I'm still able to find something that I have never seen before. This is a macro shooters paradise. If interested go to raymondhaberman.smugmug.com/ and you can see the dozens of Blennies, Goodies, Flatworms, Nudibranchs, Shrimps, Crabs, Chitons, Limpets, Snails and fish that I have photographed. There is a very good reason why this place is called "Critter Capital of the Caribbean." I like to say "Where the rare and uncommon appear to be common." The next section is somewhat confusing. Come here in the rainy season and you will see sun, wind, rain, clouds and times of dryness. Come in the dry season and you will see sun, wind, rain, clouds and times of dryness. In the summer, the water tends to be calm and flat but there may be days where it will be choppy and have surge or currents. Water temp in the summer will be between 83-85 F. depending on whose computer you look at. In the winter the water will usually be between 79-81 F, again depending on whose computer you use. Water vis is usually 100'+ but that will depend on the amount of rain received during the day. To see big fish you should really dive one of the shops in the Grenadines. DSV doesn't do drift dives, all the dive sites are within spitting distance of the shore. I don't use a wetsuit but I have seen people use from a skin to a 7mm. Several women have even used the heated vests. For information on rates and dive packages available with the shop and several hotels call Jacki at 1-784-457-4714 Mon thru Fri 8-4.

UW Photo Comments The dive shop has been operation for at least 35 years so it doesn't offer what a live aboard does. They have a rinse tank on the boat, everything else you will have to do in your room.
