Comments The bad: It takes 2 days to get there from Chicago.
The good: Fantastic fish life, easy backroll entry, all sites within 10-15 minutes, fantastic dive guides that find all the great stuff.
Apartment has A/C in the bedroom & is metered, but we were there for 3 weeks - it was $200, we thought very reasonable. You have to buy toilet paper & soap, although they start you out with 2 rolls & 2 bars. If you use the kitchen you have to bring coffee, tea, salt, pepper, etc. All the dishes/pans are there for you to use.
The fantastic: Great dive shop!!!! Always there to help get you back on the boat, attentive under water but not intrusive. Great at finding critters, and very respectful of the environment. You will find all kinds of fish here, plus some you won't see anywhere else - Black Brotula, Green & Black Frogfish, Cherubfish, Seahorses of all colors, Leopard Flatworms and many other cool things. Small dive operation, so you get very spoiled. Small island with friendly people, great fruit/vegey markets downtown (10 min. walk along the waterfront).

What is the name of the ferry company you used from Barbados to Bequia? We used the small airlines, SVG air and it was very expensive.

We took the ferry from St. Vincent to Bequia. The Bequia Express - the "red ferry", it's 45EC round trip. I think there is a ferry from Barbados - the "orange ferry", but I have no idea how it runs.
