Comments We've been going to Anse Chastanet every 2-3 years for 20 years, and we'll go back in another two years. The diving is good, not exceptional, and not all the rooms have air conditioning, and there are a lot of steps, but the staff is super friendly, problems are quickly solved, meals are fabulous, and we always feel like royalty there. As part of a dive group, the cost is very reasonable for what you get. Breakfast, lunch, "afternoon tea", and dinner were included, along with all soft drinks and delicious home made ice tea. We averaged 3 dives a day, mostly boat diving with two dusk/night shore dives, always excellent. Additional shore dives are available at no cost, but there must be a guide in the water with you. Hard corals are average, but soft corals were above average, especially the sponges. They are trying to regrow staghorn coral using "coral trees".

Unlimited alcoholic drinks were expensive, but a package is available. Each room is different. Mosquitoes never bit me or my husband, but others got chewed up--the particular vitamins we take protected us?
Plenty for non-divers to do, and not everything costs extra.
