Comments Great liveaboard! I booked the trip with my two sons (20 and 22) because of a great price ($500 off regular price) and good reviews on this site and others.

Because of the discount the boat was fully loaded with 18 passengers, two per cabin. Despite the full boat it was a great experience. The crew was great and all of the passengers got along great together. Dive conditions were good with sun topside most of the time.

All food and drinks on board were included. Cathy, the cook, did a fantastic job and all of the meals were very good.

The dives were well run by the divemasters Brett, Phil, Tim and Jennie (also the purser). All divers were logged in and out of the water on every dive.

Half of the dives were around St. Kitts and the other half were around Saba. The dives around Saba were more interesting because the reefs were more pristine and the geology was more interesting.

I especially enjoyed the Pinnacle dive which was deep and thus short, but fun. The Pinnacle dive was done without a mooring and with some current. The captain, Ernie, did a great job of managing the entry and recovery, moving the ship away from the Pinnacle away after entry and then returning for the recovery.

Turtles were present at most of the dive sites, from small to very large. A few sharks were seen, including two reef sharks and some nurse sharks. The divemasters pointed out a number of neat smaller creatures including nudibranchs, shrimp and lobsters.

This was a great experience for our first liveaboard. I plan to try more liveaboards based on this.

I am preparing for my first Liveaboard trip on this ship. Any advice for packing and preparing?

Use collapsable luggage like duffels. Storage space for luggage is limited. Definitely a benefit to have Nitrox certification. Only one person on our trip did not use Nitrox (he was 87 - fun guy who was being safe). We used 3mm full wetsuits. Everybody wore some exposure suit, either a shorty or a full wetsuit. A little cooler in St. Kitts and Saba, but not cold. The crew was great on our trip and very helpful. A good light is beneficial for the night dives. Lots of turtles and small animals.
