Comments Very pristine diving on an untouched island from a different era. If looking for excitement, fast food or lights stay away. Dive profiles are very square because little between the surface and 65-70 feet. This made it harder and shorter bottom times for our one newbee in the group. Excellent Caribbean diving, due to the few people and divers. The whole island only has 3-4,000 people. People at Scubaqua were wonderful and made the trip pleasant and memorable in its simplicity. Visit the 17th century again when it was the busiest seaport in the Western Hemisphere.

I dove Statia from a liveaboard in 2009 and 2010. I remember a shallow wreck and nearby sandy area where we saw flying gurnards. I guess you didn't dive these?
