Comments The en-suites looked nice on the upper deck. Below the salon were five non-bathroom rooms. Since there were only nine of us, we were able to have private rooms. Showers and toilets were off the dive deck. Showers were hot and powerful. They were cleaned daily.

The ship's owner was on this trip breaking in a new dive guide from Australia. She loved performing pre-dive briefings. All of us were very experienced. She even remarked that she was surprised that we were out for the full sixty minutes as she was used to divers coming back empty after 45 minutes. She must have taught a lot of open water students. I don't need a buddy. If I get in trouble, the shore was 50 feet away.

The food was mostly the same fare. Sometimes pizza or tacos. It runs about the same price as the Atlantis in the Philippines which had gourmet level food. Some mornings on the Taka the canadian bacon was like jerky.

Diving is mostly from RIBs. This is how I lost my GoPro. It got pulled off of my bc. Use stainless clips. Shannon the owner, when told of my loss, said oh, well and we motored off to the next site. Intervention by the trip leader allowed my buddy and I to look for it on air. She wasn't even going to give me a chance.

The corals are thick and we were one of only two boats operating in the area. Very sparsely populated, it is quite beautiful. The World War II wrecks are impressive. We also made two village trips which makes an impression. If you are going, bring deflated soccer balls and school supplies. It was a lifetime memory for me.
