Comments Sea Saba is an excellent dive operation. Lynne is very helpful in setting up your trip. Researching the flight from St. Maarten to Saba via with Win Air, their luggage policy seemed to be very limited and expensive. It appears that the policies published on web site are an incentive for divers to pack light. I was charged $25 for a second bag and no charges for for the carry on items.

Upon arriving at the airport everything is taken care from there. There is a taxi waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel. After checking in at your hotel you go to the dive office to check in and complete your paperwork so you are ready to dive the next day. The taxi promptly picks you up at your hotel every morning and goes by the dive office on the way to the boat so you can get any updates for the day. They will let you know the dining specials of the day and recommendations where to eat that night and will even make the reservations for you! Off to the boat (15 min ride) and you go for a 2 tank dive. Typically a pinacle first (90 - 100') and then a shallower dive for the second dive. The surface interval is done on the boat. The dive guides are very knowledable and able to find unique specimems on the reef. We saw a frog fish, sea horse, octopus, and maiting squids.

An afternoon dive is also available if you want to dive more and they are very agreeable in scheudling night dives.

If you plan to hike Mt. Scenery while at Saba be sure to plan a day of no diving due to the elevation of the mountain - 3000'. There is plenty of hiking that can be done on Saba. You could spend 2 weeks on Saba - one week hiking the other diving!

During the month of Octoboer the Saba community sponsors 'Sea and Learn' in which they have specialist do an 1 hour presentation in the evening on various topics. You also to get to dive with the experts and learn more about the marine life.

If you are looking for a great week of diving, Saba and Sea Saba is an excellent destination
