Comments From the US, it takes a while to get there. Anticipate 24-36 hours. You’ll need to connect somewhere in Europe. I routed DAY-ATL-FCO-CAI and then to Hurghada on a later flight. There are charters through the UK and from Amsterdam direct to Hurghada.

This is a relatively cheap Liveaboard, reserved through the UK. I was the only American on the boat. There was one Dutchman (my dive buddy) and the rest were English.

There are some good wrecks but poor planning occasionally got us there when the day boats were there. Too crowded. The reefs are pretty but the currents occasionally rushed us by everything.

Nevertheless, if you haven’t been, might be worth the trip. Please note that they are serious about their medical forms. If you have ANYTHING wrong, they want a Doctor’s note. Most older divers lie.

UW Photo Comments They are reasonably setup with charging bays. If there are only a few photographers, no issues. If lots, oh boy. They did have rinse tanks and compressed air. They were careful in handling the cameras.
