Comments This resort is outstanding for seeing and photographing 0small critters. Water temperature is very comfortable, and there are tons of very unusual critters. Dive guides are very skilled at finding the stuff. On one dive (unusual I admit) we saw flamboyant cuttlefish mating and eating, a blue ring octopus and a sea crate! Now that's some dive.
Dining is sit down. The chef does a fine job cooking for carnivores, but struggled cooking for vegetarians.
Now please read and learn from this next paragraph. It could save you $$$$$.
Dumaguete is served by Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific. Cebu Pacific is a cheap, no-frills airline. We booked it because it was cheap. Cebu Pacific cancelled our flight into Manila. And we simply had to get to Manila because our trip back to the mainland left that day on Philippine Airlines. So we had to buy a separate ticket from Philippine Airlines from Dumaguete to Manila and lose the money we had spent on Cebu Airlines. Take my advice: fly Philippine airlines all the way from Dumaguete to the mainland. An additional benefit from this idea is that you can check your bags all the way through to the mainland.
Transfers at the Manila airport are horrible. Domestic flights arrive at terminal 3 and Philippine Airlines international flights leave from terminal 2. Even though terminal 2 and terminal 3 are right across the runway, you have to take a long ride around the airport from one terminal to the other. Philippine airlines has a shuttle that would be worth checking out.
