Comments In October, 2014, we were at Atlantis Resort on Dumaguete...water was warm (end of summer). But, February in the Philippines? Winter. My coldest temperature was 68 degrees (24 C). Average was 72 deg. Several days of overcast skies, therefore loss of bright colors on the extremely scenic soft coral bottom. However, the clouds eventually left leaving bright sunny days...and the underwater scenery turned to magical brilliant color. Underwater, Puerto Galera is outstandingly beautiful.

Atlantis Resort is, as always, extremely well managed with a terrific staff handling all our your needs. Cannot say enough good things about the Atlantis Resorts.

The Atlantis neighborhood of Puerto Galera is a bit run down, but very quickly you learn that the Philippino people are in general very friendly, like American, 99% speak English.
