Comments This was my second trip to Atlantis. I was there two months earlier, and just had to go back because I enjoyed my first trip there so much. Was this trip as good--No. However, that was not the fault of the resort. This trip I went with a group of about 60 divers. I will never travel with a group this large again. I prefer smaller groups (6-20) where everyone gets to know each other. One drawback from the resort with a group this large is that we had to eat our meals buffet style. The quality of the food was not as good as my September visit (but still very good), but in September, we were able to order directly off the menu as our group was much smaller (only six of us). The dive operation worked very well with our large group, so no complaints there. Mother Nature did bite us in the butt this time, there was a cyclone on the east side of the Philippines while we were there, thus causing air and water temperatures to be somewhat lower than normal, plus it did bring rain and plenty of wind. Oh well, we can't beat Mother Nature can we!

UW Photo Comments I really enjoyed the photos I took. However, there was not too much large critters to shot. Macro photogrphy was excellent. The drawback is the dive boats are not set up well for photographers, but, it only takes 5-10 minutes to get to all dive sites. The resort has computers and TV's so one can easily view digital work. Print film and slides can be processed in town at very reasonable cost, with about one-hour turnaround. There is a seperate rinse tank for cameras and computers. Overall, I was very please with my photographic experience at Atlantis.
