Comments We started our diving at Walindi with 8 dives from their day boats. The first dive was super-fishy, with very healthy coral- a great omen for the trip. We then moved to the Oceania, a very recently refitted liveaboard for about 19 guests. There were 11 of us, so there was nice room everywhere, in the salon, at the dinner table, and on the dive deck! The queen cabins were very nice, but a little tight for space. We adapted, but a few more wall hooks would be nice! We dove Kimbe Bay, the Witu Islands and Father's Reef. This was our second PNG trip, and vis was better than last time, but still not super. The schools of fish were fantastic, particularly the smaller fish in huge schools. The coral was super healthy, and the water was the warmest we've ever dived. I wore a skin, but was never chilled, and never put on my vest! There were some currents around the seamounts, but nothing too big. Many on the boat wanted no current at all, but of course the current brings the fish! Sharks were scarce, saw maybe 3. I'd do this trip again in a flash!

UW Photo Comments Dive masters were very careful with cameras, and the dunk tank was always clean. There were lots of cameras onboard, so the camera table was always full.
