Comments This is not a cheap experience, but it is a unique experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The water is around 2 degrees Celsius all year round so you may want to time your visit with when the air temp is slightly warmer in Summer if you feel the cold. In Summer you can do two Silfra dives in one day. When it is colder in Winter, people tend to do one slightly longer dive. This is also driven partly by daylight hours, which are very long in Summer and very short in Winter! The visibility is stunning and this is a great place to go for a different diving experience. There is a bit of a walk from the car park to the entry and exit points but there are purpose built steps in and out to assist with entry and exit.

Also plenty to do in Iceland itself when you are not diving. I would also like to go back sometime and do some of the other diving Iceland has to offer :)

UW Photo Comments You can take some really interesting photos of the rocks, reflections and super clear water. Also in Summer, when I went there is bright green 'troll hair algae' growing on the rocks and that makes for some cool pics too!
