Comments Dove with Aquaventures out of Baltimore on their hard boat (Wave Chieftan). Did several drift dives around islands and pinnacles including the famous Fastnet Rock. Lots of anemones, sponges, wrasse, coalfish, crabs, lobsters, shrimp and dogfish. Visibility fair (8-10 meters), water temps 13-15C. Lots of gullies to explore. The odd conger eel in a crevice. Dove on the Alondra wreck (20 meters deep). Broken up wreck with engine, large boilers, steel plates, anchor chain and scattered parts. Several conger eels in wreckage and some small fish. Last dive on the huge wreck of the Kowloon Bridge (900-foot bulk carrier at 20-30 meters). Dropped down shot line to bow. Explored bulb on bottom of bow and hold #1, which contained iron ore pellets. Saw lobster and lots of nudibranchs. Visibility fair, so hard to appreciate size of wreck. Would need several dives to explore better. The owners, Rianne and Jerry, are safety conscious and friendly. The Stone House B&B, which Rianne looks after, is comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious.
