Comments If you are a big animal enthusiast, you owe it to yourself to go and swim with the Orcas of Norway. Yes it's cold and a long way away (from Oklahoma at least), but it is certainly worth it. If you aren't experienced at cold water diving, do yourself a favor and listen to Amos' advice - he knows what he's doing! The pre-trip information he provides is right on the money, and he follows it up with excellent service.

However, keep in mind that this is not a luxury live-aboard trip to the South Pacific. If you want to be pampered and fawned over and have someone wipe your nose for you, don't go - period. Diving in these extreme northern latitudes is work, pure and simple. But, if you relish the opportunity to get into the wild with these animals, the reward for your effort is beyond compare.

It is without a doubt, the most incredible experience one can imagine - swimming with and photographing/videoing wild Orcas in their native environment! An Orca at SeaWorld is one thing. Being face to face with an Orca in the wild is completely different! The size, the power. What a magnificent animal! As a matter of fact, I'd say that the only drawback to this trip is that it's impossible to explain just how incredible it is to someone who has never done it!

The bottom line is this: if you have ever dreamed of doing something like this, do yourself a favor and go on this trip! It is such a wonderful change from the normal type of diving we all generally do. Amos, the Orcas, and the crew are wonderful, and you won't be disappointed.

UW Photo Comments The guide, Amos Nachoum, is a very well known and world-renowned photographer, who shares his wealth of knowledge freely with the guests. The price is almost worth it for the photography advice alone. This trip is definitely geared for photographers/videographers.
