Comments went out to snorkle for the whale shark and he didn't show! the trip was about humbolt squid. the cage we thought was on board wasn't. their last trip yielded zero so they didn't bring it this time. Really!! one night we watch the squid for an hour . a fish would appear and 10 squid would chase it down. it was pretty exciting to see. we even caught a few off the back of the boat. they were 2 feet in lengthand with the bright lite on we were able to draw them in. the seal population was thriving. I witnessed 2 of them engaging in sexual activity. the only problem was his status in the colony. when the big dog showed up , what a fight. it only lasted 20 seconds but was it intense. it made the trip for me. surprisingly the water was much colder than I thought it would be and the amount of fish life was somewhat low. the other thing I did see were octopus and sea hares.
