Comments [None]Great place to see large animals-saw two humback whales while aboard Solmar V ( one breaching out of the water), a pod of False Killer Whales, Bottlenose dolphins, Hammerheads, Silver and Black Tips, Galapagos Sharks ( but no Whale Sharks- need to come in Fall to encounter these) and lots of colorful smaller fish ( ocean teeming with Red Tail Trigger Fish), lobsters and octupi. Some sites had strong currents. But Solmar V had two pangas patrolling the dive area to pick up those who did not surface near the Solmar V or the panga ( some diving is off Solmar V's stern, other dives off a panga using a back roll). The cabins are small , so select a roomate you like or pray if one is selected for you.22 hour journey from embarkation at Cabo San Lucas to first of three dive sites, and those prone to sea sickness need to bring medication. Food delicious and plentiful and price comes with an assortment of Mexican beers and Chilean wines. Divemasters very attentive ( one loaned me his camera memory chip when mine became full). Expensive at around $3300 when tax is added, and Nitrox is an extra $100. But if size matters to you, the large denizens of the Revillagigedo Islands' waters rival what you see in Galapagos or Cocos ( both places I've dove). This my second trip on Solmar V
