Comments The crew were all wonderful. Diving good but can be difficult with changing currents around mouth of channels on this southern itinerary.
This boat is badly needing dry dock. Salon had some holes in the floor covered with carpets. Air conditioning marginal.
We had the unfortunate experience of 2 wrecks. On the first one, the mother ship and the dhoni were blown off anchor onto the reef at night by a storm and the port propellers on both boats were broken. They had to be pulled off of the reef. A couple of nights later, while motoring in the dark, the mother ship ran up on the reef of a seamount. It took 2 hours to get it pulled off of the reef. Because of the broken props, the rest of the trip was slow and night dives were out.
We did not feel that we received a good explanation of how these events occurred considering all the navigation and weather information available on a modern boat.
I was up a number of times in the middle of the night due to the time difference to home, and unfortunately, the watchman was generally asleep on an outside chair.
