Comments Some of us expected mantas and whale sharks every day if not every dive, on arrival the crew told us that was unlikely but with luck we might see some. They took the southern itinerary for wide variety of sites and sea life. We saw 5-6 mantas at Manta Point on our first and again on our last day. One morning we saw juvenile whale shark. Sharks at many sites.
The dive dhoni was roomy, easy to gear up and giant stride in. Nitrox was 31-35% O2. Current varied from mild to moderate to very strong, one dive the reef hook partially straightened out. We had a couple 12-15 min waits on surface with sausage waiting while boat picked up other divers. Crew was helpful, efficient, courteous and even very patient with the one inconsiderate high maintenance diver. During transits the dhoni travels separate from the main boat so plan ahead for any gear you may want to access between dives. We inquired ahead about rental lights which saved some baggage weight.

Food was good and plentiful, and always included something vegetarian. On our last night, we were delighted the crew kindly agreed to let us stay aboard instead of the usual onshore dinner at a local restaurant in Male. We had a great trip and would do it again.
