Comments Pelagian carries only 12 divers and cruises the waters in vicinity of southern Sulawesi; 2 divemasters and the entire crew are excellent and attentive. All diving is from tenders and personal gear doesn't leave the tenders for the duration of the trip. The crew went out of their way to make our diving convenient and comfortable. Beautiful, healthy reefs and walls and lots of drift diving, but not much in the way of large pelagics (and having read about the area beforehand, we were not expecting large pelagics). They did a couple days of muck diving and while that is not our favorite, we appreciated seeing unique creatures we had never before seen. Cabins are clean and comfortable with plenty of storage space and good-sized bathrooms. Nice menu choices, meals are served (no buffets)and the food is outstanding. Two weeks before we arrived, we read the Undercurrent review which gave us pause; however, our experience confirmed our opinion that the Undercurrent reviewer was just cranky and must have had an ax to grind. The only thing the reviewer got right is that the drinks are overpriced but considering the remoteness of the operation, that is understandable and since we don't like to drink much during a dive trip, the price of drinks didn't matter and sufficient non-alcoholic beverages were included. This was our 33rd liveaboard trip and it rates among the top 5!

UW Photo Comments The photography room is dry with very good lighting, ample charging stations and adequate counter space and shelves; a generous supply of drying towels was always available; one of the divemasters was extremely experienced in underwater photo/video and very willing to share his knowledge and experience and was most helpful in solving problems.
