Comments Tasik divers dives at the Bunaken dive preserve. The greatest thing about diving the preserve is the wall dives. Larger fish may be returning, but certainly not much to talk about.
The Tasik Ria resort is a beautiful resort with lovely grounds. Diving is done from a large (45'?) boat, which takes about 45 minutes to get to the preserve. Because of the travel time, it takes all day to get in three boat dives.
I'd skip the Mandarin fish dive, since the area where they are seen is pretty small, and these fish aren't always "in the mood".
A must is the spa with attendant massage. Don't miss it. The massages are very reasonably priced, and in a very nice setting.
While you might think that ocean front rooms would be preferable, I would save some money and go for the upstairs pool view rooms.
Indonesia is largely Muslim, and so it's hard to get alchol, and when you do it's really expensive due to government tax. So BRING YOUR OWN BOOZE. You can thank me later!
The electric sockets are recessed so bring your two round prong adapter.
