Comments This was my second time in Tulamben, my first time at Scuba Seraya. The resort was very nice. My room was well appointed and featured an outdoor private bathroom. The restaurant was good and had enough variety to keep us happy having all of our meals there for six days. Camera facilities were good, with a dedicated room for this next to the dive shop.

Dive operations were a little screwy. We did lots of boat diving, but there are no docks or wharfs on this coast. The boats were moored a short distance offshore, and we had to wade/swim to them. The crew took care of getting our scuba rigs and cameras to the boat. The guests wore wetsuit, mask & fins then entered through the surf to the boat about 30 feet out, then climbed the ladder aboard. Rough weather had breakers on the beach making this challenging the first couple of days. However, all of this was worth it since it provided the flexibility to visit a variety of sites along this coast, rather than having to keep close to the resort if it was all shore diving like my last visit to the area. The house reef was excellent, and we did shore dives on it most days after a couple of boat dives.

UW Photo Comments No rinse tank on the boat, but it wasn't missed as we only did one dive at a time, and crew transferred camera to shore-based rinse tank after dive.
