Comments We were originally booked to go to Ambon before COVID took that off the map. Dive into Ambon went under during COVID, so our travel agent gave us a few options in Raja Ampat and we picked this one. I enjoyed staying here despite the no hot water or air conditioning in our room. I did find out that most of the rooms do have hot water, just not a few of them. Our room was very nice otherwise. All the power here is solar, so the lighting in the rooms is not the best for working on cameras at night. Internet was spotty and only for a few hours in the evening. When booking you could chose 2 or 3 dives a day. I picked 3. The morning boats were usually crowded with 8 divers and 2 divemasters backrolling all at once on a very small boat. But in the afternoons, it was usually me and one other diver or just me, with my private dive guide, and boat handler, and boat helper. Dives were limited to one hour, but on the quiet afternoon dives we would often exceed that. The resort is geared more to the casual diver, snorkeler, birdwatcher or hiker. Some of the guests didn't dive at all. The birdwatching was great, with 2 species of Bird of Paradise nearby. There are also Spotted Cuscus climbing around in the trees. I probably enjoyed the relaxed diving here more because I had just spent 3 weeks diving 4 times a day.

UW Photo Comments There were no camera facilities at all. I was told they had a spare equipment tank they could fill with water if I wanted them to, but my shower worked well enough.
