Comments IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BOUTIQUE DIVE DESTINATION AND LOCAL CULTURE , THIS IS THE PLACE. ON WAY BACK TO KUTA,
I COULD DROPPED IN LOCAL TEMPLE.
DIVE OPERATOR IS MANAGED BY LOCAL HUSBAND AND JAPANESE WIFE.
THE DIVE OPERATION IS VERY GOOD ESPECIALLY FOR JAPANESE DIVERS.
EXCELLENT GUIDES, FEW RULES, UP TO 5 DIVE A DAY FROM 5:30,LOTS TO PHOTOGRAPH
THE MOST STAFF SPEAK JAPANESE AND ENGLISH. THEY NEVER SMOKE AND HAVE A TATTOO. GOOD EDUCATION!
ROOMS ARE COTTAGE TYPE WITH BATHTUB FACING AGUN MOUNTAIN NOT SEASIDE.
DIVER CAN ENTER THE BATH ROOM FROM OUTSIDE WITH WETSUIT DIRECTLY. THE SECOND DOOR TO BATHROOM IS VERY CONVENIENT TO HAVE A SHOWER AFTER EACH DIVE.
THE NICE MOUNTAIN VIEW FROM THE RESTAURANT ON THE SECOND FLOOR. WOOD FIRE LOOKS LAVA IN THE NIGHT.
SOMEHOW CREATURES ARE SO DIVERS COMPARED TO OVER 20 YEARS AGO THE FIRST TIME WE VISITED TULAM BEN. OWNER EXPLAINED US IT IS DUE TO UNDERGROUND RIVER FROM AGUN MOUNTAIN TO THE SHORE. THEY SAY IT CONTAINS NUTRITION FOR UNDERWATER CREATURES.
ON THIS TRIP I WAS ABLE TO GET MANY GOOD VIDEO FOOTAGE OF HARLEQUIN SHRIMP, YELLOW PYGMY SEAHORSE AND COLEMAN SHRIMP ON SEA URCHINS.
THE MUCK DIVING HERE WAS BEYOND MY EXPECTATION.
REMARKABLE CREATURES FOR ME ARE.
OCTOPUS ON SAND LIKE A STONE, CUTTLEFISH, HARLEQUIN SHRIMP, HARLEQUIN GHOST PIPEFISH,RINGED PIPEFISH, YELLOW BANDED PIPEFISH, NUDIES,PAINTED FROGFISH, WARTY FROGFISH, WHITETIP SHARK, BLACKTIP REEF SHARK, GIANT SWEETLIPS, GIANT TREVALLY
BUMPHEAD PARROTFISH AT 5:30 IN THE MORNING & FEEDING DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS ,
SCHOOLING JACKS ARE FISHED OUT UNFORTUNATELY.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE THAT WE COULD NOT COMMUNICATE WITH EUROPEAN.
