Comments Calling all serious divers! What you've heard about Lembeh straits is true. You must see it to believe it. I added on five days at Lembeh resort after a liveabord trip to Komodo. I was simply stunned by what I saw underwater. I won't go into detail about all the fantastic critters that were seen. I saw more interesting critters on this one trip of 11 dives that I have seen in the rest of the world over 25 years of diving. Make no mistake about it though, this is not pretty diving. In fact, it is downright ugly down there. Virtually all muck diving. It's also not a fish haven, the biggest fish I saw was a giant frog fish that was the size of a basketball. Lembeh resort is a well oiled machine. I can't think of anything they didn't do right. It was also refreshing, since Lembeh resort is on an island, to not hear the constant putter of motorbikes which seem prominent throught out Indonesia. It was also nice, for a change, to be the only American at the entire resort. Mostly Europeans this time. A must add on to any trip to Indonesia.
