Comments Honestly, as the title suggests, this experience on the m/v Gaia was a very pleasant surprise compared to all the other liveaboards. The boat construction ( marine steel) made for a smooth trip. The overall design, with an exceptional eye for detail ensured our group ( 20 divers) each had unparalelled personal space. The rooms were large and comfortable as also the ensuite bathrooms. The food, served to each diver a la carte was gourmet stuff!Knowledge of the dive site was deep and professional. Current was checked for every dive. There were 3 skiffs to ferry divers to the sites and one of them was always on top of the dive site so that any diver/s who surfaced early could be taken back to the boat immediately without any delay. It was obvious that the crew were a happy bunch as the boat was wonderfully well maintained. The skiff ladder rungs and climb handles made for an easy climb from the water after the dive. The service was polite, courteous and professional always rendered with a smile. Raja Ampat lived up to its reputation and diving was super. There were currents to spot the oceanic mantas but well worth the effort of combating them. The coral and fish life were healthy and numerous. On all my 20 dives, the tank pressure was 200 bar! Thank you GAIA for my best liveaboard experience to date! and for sure I'll be back!
