Comments There are many dive operations and shops in Bali, I had contacted a few other companies with little and sometimes no response. I chose Aqua Marine, primarily as a referral from Scuba News—a UK publication. I don’t have much to compare them with but was extremely happy with the operation.
1. The communication was immediate and thorough I had a back injury which compromised my diving and mostly my ability to kick in strong currents. The folks at AquaMarine were very accommodating and helped me choose dive sites that work worked best for me. They were also respectful of my skills.
2. The ratio of dive masters to divers was 4-1 where we dived.
3. When we hit the strong currents, the dive masters were very safety oriented.

Some of the cons about general diving in Bali vs other places are:
1. A 2 dive land-based dive excursion is somewhat expensive, $100-150 us dollars
2, Dive sites can be 1-3 hours from your accommodation.

Equipment rental is fairly inexpensive to inclusive in your price. Also they will come to your hotel and pick you up. So all and all, Bali land based diving is expensive but you get a lot for your money
