Comments Hands down this is the best dive vacation that we have had yet! Two things were the main contributors to this experience; our dive master Sylvie Mastellone and the reef in Rotan.

Sylvie clearly loves her job and loves to educate others on the beauty of diving. During the pre-dive brief she would explin in great detail the plan and what we would see, during the dive she would look for a point out everything, after the dive on the boat she would follow up and then once back to the dive shop she would take out the fish identification book and review what we saw! I also did my Advance Open Water with Sylvie and she was an awesome instructor.

The reef in Rotan is amazing, it is in excellent condition and I hope that it can stay this way as more people find out about it. This is definitely a place we'll return to. Large and colorful corals like I've never seen before as well as large and small fish which make for excellent subjects for photos.

The dive operator TGI had a nice boat and were punctual, the other dive masters knew their stuff and all the staff were friendly. We would use them again.

Paradise Beach Resort is a nice hotel, rooms were spacious and clean (we had a one bedroom suite with kitchen), food at restaurant was excellent and the staff aimed to please (they changed our room on check in after we discovered that we had 2 single beds instead of the king we requested). It is right on West Beach.

We went in September so it was fairly quite with no crowds on the beach or boats; the staff said that this was the slow time so that may have contributed to the experience.

We did the Dolphin experience at Anthony's Key and would definitely recommend this to everyone! Go in the morning if you can because the water was very silty when we went in the afternoon, and pay extra to swim with them!

They have noseeums or sand fleas, deet didn't work against them but Sylvie recommended baby oil and this did work so take some with you.

If you want a place to relax and get awesome diving in this is the place!

UW Photo Comments Our dive master, Sylvie, has studied photography and has a very indepth knowledge of the reef life. She taught me the photograpy portion of my Advanced Open Water card and continued to give me pointers throughout the trip. The boats accommodated UWP by having fresh water buckets for cameras. Got some awesome photos of corals and small critters along with some large fish and eels.
