Comments My dive buddy and I were at the Reef House Resort from 5/23 to 5/31 for a week of diving. Trip arragnements were made using their website. Pick up and return to the airport was provided by the resort. The resort is located toward the east end about a 35 min drive from the airport. The resort is located on a caye in Oak Ridge harbor.

The resort is a small (about 12 rooms), casual, inclusive resort. Rooms S1 and S2 are the largest with a private porch and in a seperate building adjacent to the dining hall and bar. The other rooms adjoin the dining hall and bar. Overall the rooms are comfortable, but sparten. Hot water was always available and the rooms were cleaned daily. Electricty did go out periodically, but the resort has a private generator which maintained the essentials.

Meals were served at a common table in the dining hall, which is conducive to conversation and socializing. Meal times were 7:00a, 1:00p and 7:00p with snacks served after the afternoon dive. Overall the food quality was very good, different each day and plentiful. Special requests were accomadated, although from observation, advanced notice would make it easier.

The bar operates on a honor system with guests recording what they consume on a 3 x 5 card which is settled at the end of the stay. Selections are limited to local beer, soft drinks and some bar liquor.

The dive operation runs three dives per day; two morning and one afternoon with a night dive when weather permitted (it was windy with moderate swells the week we were there). Generally the dives start with the boat moored on top of the reef, down the wall to 60 to 70 feet for 30 min, then return to the boat on top of the reef at 20 to 25 feet. Overall dive time 60+ min. However, we were not restricted to that profile and were allowed freedom for deeper dives. Shore diving is available from a concrete pier. Entry is shallow with a channel thru the reef to the wall. A strobe light was available to make locating the exit point easy. We made a total of 19 dives including a shore night dive.

Overall we were very pleased with the week and plan to return.
