Comments What a wonderful resort! 15+ individual cabins, aircon, hot water, immaculately clean! Housekeeping has developed a cute way of folding your towel in the shape of sharks, turtles, etc and covering your bed with flowers. The staff could not do enough to make you welcome and enjoy your stay. Boat captain and crew top notch! A great bunch of guys to dive with. We had all mixes of divers and photographers. Some with a bunch of dives and big cameras, some with 25-30 dives and go-pros. All were welcome. We had two dive guides in the water, one leading and one following with the newbies. Two tank dive in AM and one tank after lunch. You can do a 4th dive but you spend 20 minutes on a nice wall and 20 minutes muck-diving to the shore (once was enough for me). Also two night dives/week. They couldn't wait to point out small critters, spotted eagle rays, turtles, sharks and interesting plant life. Reefs in great shape with fans and tube sponges everywhere. Food all buffet-style and excellent. On a few days we stopped at the little fishing village where one of the guides asked his mom to bake cake and sticky buns for us in the morning. Watermelon, mango and cold water always available. Your gear would be set up and ready to go when you were - every day. Diving was a little silty at some sites (but not much!) due to a hurricane passing nearby. Customs and immigration a breeze. Even the police/immigration folks were friendly and smiling. The airport gets a little crowded on weekends and tends to overwhelm the United/Delta staff with two 757's loading and taking off within an hour of each other. We took a small 12 psnger flight from Roatan to Utila. Those that wanted to could take a small boat into town and "indulge" themselves in the evening (ask about Dr. John) if they wanted. Only a $5 boat ride R/T. As long as the wind is blowing no bugs. If it isn't be sure to take bug spray. What makes the difference is the owners and managers are around all the time to be sure everything is going well. Large walk-in gear locker and big tanks to rinse gear and cameras. Drying racks provided outside. A great trip - I'll be back.
